This term refers to a fixed allocation which a hotel has pre-agreed to make available at all times with a specified party. For example, if a hotel has agreed to a guaranteed allotment of 3 double rooms with an online travel agency, which in turn, will always have a fixed number of 3 double rooms available to book, in addition to whatever dynamic allotment comes from SiteMinder. Importantly,
- Guaranteed allotment is static. That is, it does not change from day to day.
- SiteMinder may never change guaranteed allotment.
The most common case is that guaranteed allotment is sold first, followed by any dynamic allotment, but such is not always the case.
