The term limited service hotel, is used to describe budget-friendly that offer without a food and beverage component like a restaurant.

These may have amenities such as business centre, fitness room, pool, guest laundry facilities or more. Areas where a guest may eat or cook their own meals are BBQ areas, communal kitchens or near-by restaurants.

Some popular example of limited service are brands like Comfort Inn, Holiday Express, Hampton Inn or Super 8. These hotels are targeted by leisure and commercial travellers who are more price conscious during their travel. The majority of the hotels in this are priced at $75 (US) a night.
